A rainy day..........

Well it is rainy in N.W. Ohio, what to do?  I have been working in the garage on several vintage chairs, painting them with antique white milk paint.  It brings out the beautiful details on the chair.  You see,  I am a self declared chair collector.  I have numerous vintage chairs throughout our home.  You can never have enough chairs!!

Check this beauty out.......

I have two of these chairs and will be adding a black glaze to bring put the lovely details.

Back to the garage I go.

Summer, it's finally here! After a long winter in N.W. Ohio, the pool is open, the flowers have been planted and we have been painting furniture and funky junk outside! Going to plenty of garage sales, flea markets and estate sales in search of vintage funky junk. Check back for some fun and funky photos! Peace, love and funky junk<3 {geniece}

A new day, a new year.............

It's a new day, a new year and I'm ready for peace, love and more junk! This past year has been a whirlwind of excitement and learning with my funky junk business. It has been fun, along with exhausting. It takes time and patience to run a small business, it is no easy task.........but quite rewarding. Thank you to Mr Funky Junk from the Country, aka Jim for his patience, understanding and love in my pursuit of my dream! My new years resolution is to blog on a regular basis and to grow my business this year. Now off to the garage to paint some furniture. Peace, love and junk! Geniece

Funky Junk from the Country

So, the past few weeks have been hectic. With three antique spaces in different suburbs we have been running around a lot. I have been on vacation this past week and need to go back to work to relax. I wanted to bake some cookies and goodies this week, yet there was no time. I will carve out time next week to bake, since there are no auctions with. Christmas coming. I have received several Christmas cards from family & friends this week in the mail. Yes, real cards handwritten and lovely updates on everyones past year. With all the modern technology, it is a welcome surprise to receive a Christmas card from a lovely long time frd. It made my day! The funky junk truck is decorated with lights and a wreath. No snow yet here in N.W. Ohio for a fun photo shoot, but it is early yet. Have a wonderful day and take time to enjoy some funky junk. Peace, love & junk <3 geniece
